Family Solicitor (8+ PQE) – Private Practice

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor with at least 8 years post‑qualification experience to join a leading national law firm. The role focuses on privately funded family law matters, offering high‑net‑worth clients comprehensive advice on divorce, financial settlements and related issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of private family law matters from inception to conclusion.
• Advise clients on divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, financial remedy, property division, pension sharing and cohabitation disputes.
• Draft and negotiate pre‑nuptial, post‑nuptial and separation agreements.
• Develop and maintain referral relationships with financial advisers, accountants and other introducers.
• Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives.
• Mentor junior lawyers and support staff where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm procedures.

Required profile

• 8+ years PQE in family law, preferably with private client experience.
• Membership of Resolution, Family Law Accreditation or equivalent specialist recognition.
• Established professional network and referrer relationships.
• Experience supervising junior lawyers and support staff.
