Family Solicitor – Competitive Salary & Career Progression

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Family Solicitor or experienced Family Law Fee Earner to join our boutique practice in Blackburn. You will work within a close‑knit team of seven professionals, handling a varied caseload from initial instruction through to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of family law matters, both private and legal‑aid where applicable.
• Provide clear, practical and empathetic advice on divorce, financial remedy, child arrangements and domestic abuse applications.
• Handle cohabitation disputes, pre‑ and post‑nuptial agreements, and general family law queries.
• Prepare and submit court documents, attend hearings and liaise with clients throughout each matter.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or experienced Family Law Fee Earner.
• Proven ability to manage a family law caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent client care, communication and a compassionate approach to sensitive issues.
• Strong organisational and case‑management skills; advocacy experience is a plus.
