Family Solicitor Head of Department

About the role

The firm is seeking a Family Solicitor to lead its Family Law Department. You will manage a privately‑funded caseload covering divorce, financial remedy, cohabitation disputes, pre‑ and post‑nuptial agreements, and private children law matters.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of complex family law files and drive them to resolution.
• Mentor and develop junior solicitors and legal executives.
• Build and maintain strong, lasting client relationships.
• Contribute to the strategic growth and direction of the department.
• Collaborate with senior partners to ensure high‑quality client care.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) as a solicitor or legal executive.
• Proven experience leading a team in a family law practice.
• Excellent communication, organisational and client‑service skills.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative and able to work independently.
