About the role
We are seeking a Family Solicitor to join a long‑established regional firm in Colchester. The position is hybrid, offering a mix of office and remote work, and provides the opportunity to head up a small department while supporting a trainee.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a small family law department and oversee day‑to‑day operations.
- Provide full administrative support for the team.
- Mentor and support a trainee solicitor.
- Handle predominantly public family law work.
- Maintain a seat on the Family and Children panels.
Required profile
- Experience dealing primarily with public family law matters.
- Current seat on the Family and Children panels.
- Strong desire to progress and lead a team.
- Knowledge of divorce and financial matters is desirable.
