Family Solicitor – Part‑time Contractor (Merseyside)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Family Law Solicitor to join a Merseyside law firm on a 3‑6 month assignment. The position can be undertaken on a full‑time or part‑time basis and offers the flexibility of remote working, while still requiring courtroom advocacy when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and representation in family law matters, including divorce, child arrangements and financial settlements.
• Ensure compliance with Legal Aid supervisory standards and panel accreditation requirements.
• Prepare and submit legal documents, attend hearings and negotiate settlements.
• Collaborate with senior partners and support staff to deliver high‑quality client service.

Required profile

• Current membership of the Law Society’s Family Law Accreditation, Family Law Advanced Accreditation, Children Law Accreditation, or Resolution Specialist Accreditation (or equivalent).
• Eligibility to meet Legal Aid supervisory standards.
• Ability to commit to a 3‑6 month contract, either full‑time or part‑time.

Required skills
