Family Solicitor – Permanent Position

About the role

Our client, a top‑tier law firm recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, is seeking two experienced Family Solicitors to join their Family & Children Department in Luton. This is a permanent, full‑time role offering the chance to work on high‑value, complex family matters for both private individuals and high‑net‑worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and representation across all areas of family law, including divorce, financial settlements, child abduction, adoption, injunctions and maintenance.
• Report directly to the Department Director and manage a varied caseload with a focus on quality and continuity.
• Supervise and mentor Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors and Caseworkers, ensuring appropriate case allocation and development.
• Contribute to departmental training programmes and support junior team members.
• Engage in business development and marketing activities to grow the practice.

Required profile

• Hold a clean, valid Practising Certificate at the time of application.
• Demonstrated experience in family and matrimonial law, preferably with exposure to high‑net‑worth cases.
• Strong client‑care approach and ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
• Commitment to professional development and team leadership.
