Family Solicitor – Swallowfield

About the role

We are seeking a Family Solicitor to join a well‑established, client‑focused practice in Swallowfield, Berkshire. The role offers a balanced mix of high‑quality private family work and a supportive, collaborative environment, with hybrid working flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied private family caseload covering divorce, financial remedy, child arrangements and parental responsibility.
• Draft and negotiate pre‑nuptial, post‑nuptial and cohabitation agreements.
• Provide clear, strategic advice on domestic abuse injunctions where relevant.
• Develop relationships with local referral partners such as therapists, financial advisers and schools.

Required profile

• 1+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in privately funded family law.
• Strong client‑centred communication style and ability to work independently.
• Interest in growing the department and contributing to community outreach.
• Willingness to develop mediation or collaborative‑law expertise.

Required skills

• Family law practice, including divorce and financial remedy.
• Drafting of pre‑nuptial, post‑nuptial and cohabitation agreements.
• Mediation techniques (training can be provided).
