Field Interviewer (Part‑time) – Bournemouth

About the role

As a Field Interviewer you will visit households across Bournemouth to conduct face‑to‑face research interviews on topics such as health, housing and transport. Using a tablet or laptop you will guide conversations, capture real‑world experiences and help generate data that informs public policy.

Key responsibilities

• Knock on doors and arrange interview appointments with residents who have received a prior letter.
• Conduct structured interviews on a tablet or laptop, ensuring accurate recording of responses.
• Manage travel to and from interview locations, logging mileage and travel time.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data‑protection standards, including completing a DBS check.
• Report any issues or refusals to the project coordinator promptly.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car with Class 1 business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband and a laptop or tablet with a working camera.
• At least 18 hours of availability per week, with flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

What we offer

• £20‑£30 per completed interview (average hourly rate £15.12 including holiday pay).
• Admin fees and holiday pay (12.1%).
• Travel compensation at £4.68 per hour and mileage reimbursement at 36p per mile (up to 10,000 miles).
• Performance bonuses: £250 after launch, then £250 at two months and four months.
• Flexible part‑time schedule to fit around other commitments.
