About the role
As a Field Interviewer you will visit households in Lincoln to conduct face‑to‑face research interviews on topics such as health, housing and transport. Using a tablet or laptop you will guide conversations that capture real experiences of daily life in Britain.
Key responsibilities
- Knock on doors and introduce yourself to residents who have been pre‑informed by letter.
- Conduct structured interviews using a tablet or laptop, ensuring accurate data capture.
- Record travel time and mileage, and submit interview reports promptly.
- Maintain professional and courteous interaction, even when participants decline.
Required profile
- Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
- Class 1 business insurance for the vehicle.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete a DBS check.
- Reliable home broadband connection.
- At least 18 hours per week availability, with flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends.
- Strong verbal and written English.
Required skills
- Laptop or tablet with a working camera.
- Basic proficiency with common technology (e.g., navigating a tablet, entering data).
What we offer
- £20‑£30 per interview (typical rate).
- Admin fees and holiday pay (12.1%).
- Travel time paid at £4.68 per hour for most projects.
- Mileage reimbursement at 36p per mile (up to 10,000 miles).
- £250 bonus after launch, with additional £250 bonuses at two and four months.
- Average hourly rate of £15.12 (including holiday pay), with higher rates for experienced interviewers.
