Field IT Service Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and hands‑on Field IT Service Engineer to be based in Willenhall, West Midlands, covering the South East of England. You will be the first point of contact for new EPOS installations and specialist support, working independently or as part of a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Install new EPOS hardware, including data cabling where required.
• Deploy systems following documented procedures and maintain operational standards.
• Provide telephone, modem and on‑site support for EPOS and non‑EPOS PC ordering systems.
• Maintain personal and vehicle availability within the assigned territory.
• Keep spare parts stocked and ensure all repaired or deployed assets are correctly tracked.
• Support the Helpdesk team and perform general administration duties.
• Identify and communicate potential future IT issues.

Required profile

• Motivated, friendly and detail‑oriented.
• Comfortable working alone or within a small team.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Required skills

• IT fault finding experience (essential).
• Experience installing EPOS hardware.
• Knowledge of structured data cabling (preferred).
• Electrical qualification is a plus.
