Field Service Engineer – Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer to join a leading German manufacturer of mechanical equipment, based in Wakefield. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of advanced machinery across West Yorkshire and the wider UK.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical servicing, routine maintenance and breakdown repairs on equipment such as cranes, forklifts and material handling plant.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on site.
• Travel to customer locations throughout West Yorkshire and, when required, across the UK.
• Provide hands‑on training to customers on equipment operation and safety.

Required profile

• Solid mechanical background with experience in hydraulics, motors and gearboxes.
• Basic electrical fault‑finding ability.
• Ability to commute to West Yorkshire and travel nationwide as needed.
