Field Service Engineer – Scotland (M8 Corridor)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Field Service Engineer to join a leading engineering company that supplies, installs and services specialist industrial equipment for the food, packaging and pharmaceutical sectors. The role is based on the M8 corridor in Scotland, covering customers across the region and occasional trips to Northern England.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and test specialist industrial equipment at customer sites.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
• Perform routine inspections to maximise equipment reliability.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
• Provide professional technical support and excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer working with industrial machinery.
• Strong electrical fault‑finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• Willingness to travel across Scotland and occasionally into Northern England.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
