Field Service Engineer – South East (Door-to-Door Pay)

About the role

You will be based at home and travel across the South East to install, commission, service and repair industrial machinery used in wood, plastics and metal processing. The role combines hands‑on technical work with customer interaction, supported by a dedicated service office and technical team.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and repair a range of industrial machines on‑site.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults and carry out corrective actions.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections.
• Respond to breakdowns promptly and produce accurate service reports.
• Provide technical advice to customers and machine operators.
• Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship and customer service.

Required profile

• Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer.
• Mechanical engineering background with solid electrical fault‑finding knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South East (and occasionally other UK regions).
• Self‑motivated, practical and comfortable working independently on customer sites.
