Finance and Accounts Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper or accounts administrator to join our close‑knit team on a part‑time basis. You will own the day‑to‑day finance function, working closely with colleagues and our external accountants to keep our financial processes running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Set up new customer accounts, run credit checks and raise sales and pro‑forma invoices.
• Send monthly statements, monitor outstanding balances and chase overdue payments.
• Reconcile WorldPay transactions against website purchase orders.
• Check supplier invoices, post them to Sage Line 50 and process supplier payments.
• Manage the company credit card and maintain nominal ledger accuracy.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and post related transactions.
• Process payroll data in Sage using reports from the external payroll provider.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and monthly management reports.
• Liaise with external accountants for year‑end processes and corporation tax preparation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills for internal and external liaison.
