Finance Assistant – Accounts Assistant (Hybrid, Bristol)

About the role

This entry‑level Finance Assistant position is based in Bristol and offers a hybrid working pattern. You will join a small, supportive finance team and gain hands‑on experience across accounts payable and broader finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with accounts payable duties and respond to supplier queries.
• Support payment runs and perform reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
• Carry out general finance administration tasks.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the wider finance team.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or candidate with some finance/accounts experience.
• Keen to build a long‑term career in finance.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Positive attitude, proactive and reliable.
• Comfortable working within a team environment.

Required skills

• Experience using Xero (preferred but not essential).

• Salary between £25,000 and £27,000 per year.
