Finance Assistant – Graduate Opportunity

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our supportive finance team in Watford. This graduate opportunity is ideal for recent AAT graduates or those completing their qualification, offering a clear pathway towards a Management Accountant role with full study support for ACCA/CIMA.

Key responsibilities

• Raise invoices and credit notes, produce premium collection reports and process customer refunds.
• Collate and distribute broker commission statements and respond to premium receipt queries.
• Assist with credit control, direct debit file preparation, BACS receipt recording and processing of ADDACS and ARRUDS reports.
• Identify and recommend process improvements while adhering to compliance and supporting vulnerable customers.
• Develop an understanding of wider business functions and processes.

Required profile

• Finance degree or AAT qualification (or studying towards AAT).
• Strong numerical and analytical ability with high attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑focused, able to work independently and as part of a team.
