Finance Assistant – Hybrid (2 days remote) – £32k-£35k

About the role

This Finance Assistant position offers a hybrid working model with two days a week from home, based in the Warrington area. You will join a supportive finance team and gain exposure to a full range of transactional finance and payroll activities, ideal for someone looking to broaden their skill set.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase ledger invoices, supplier payments and perform account reconciliations.
• Support monthly payroll processing, including starters, leavers and payroll adjustments.
• Maintain accurate financial records, expenses and employee payroll data.
• Assist with month‑end activities such as journal entries, reconciliations and reporting.
• Respond to finance and payroll queries while contributing to continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a finance, accounts or payroll position.
• Knowledge of purchase ledger, reconciliations and payroll processes.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
