Finance Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to support our finance team during a busy period, handling invoices, payments and financial reporting for a growing business in Winchester.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditure against budgets.
• Respond to financial queries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organisational policies.

Required profile

• Background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using financial software.
