Finance Business Partner - Accountancy Practice

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join a well‑established accountancy practice in Brighton. This senior‑level position combines client‑facing relationship management with strategic financial advisory, moving beyond routine bookkeeping to drive business growth for a diverse portfolio of owners.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for a range of client businesses, building long‑term relationships.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable advice for decision‑making.
• Lead strategic planning sessions, including quarterly and annual reviews using management accounts.
• Identify growth opportunities, assess risks, and provide insightful analysis.
• Coordinate with internal bookkeeping, payroll, and accounts teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Advocate for client needs within the firm and manage contract renewals, billing, and overall engagement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an accountancy practice with significant client interaction.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to communicate financial information confidently.
• Organised, capable of managing multiple client portfolios simultaneously.
• Relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) is advantageous.
