Finance Business Partner – Hybrid – Leeds

About the role

We are recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a leading global manufacturing business based in Leeds. The role sits within a newly created commercial finance function and reports directly to the Finance Director, providing end‑to‑end commercial responsibility for a key business unit.

Key responsibilities

• Track and manage inventory and backlogs accurately.
• Monitor customer order contract profitability and utilisation metrics.
• Link strategic plans to business and financial drivers, aligning sales, resource management, capital projects and working capital planning.
• Generate, model and execute action plans to close performance gaps.
• Conduct capacity planning and hourly rate calculations.
• Provide business planning, forecasting and budgeting support to stakeholders.
• Lead job‑cost performance meetings and produce portfolio views with commentary.
• Prepare finance slides for monthly MIS results packs and produce rolling P&L forecasts.
• Forecast monthly cash flow and track cost‑centre actuals for stakeholder review.

Required profile

• ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification.
• Proven experience in inventory management, cost control and project management.
• Background in manufacturing or industrial sector (highly desirable).
• Strong understanding of cost controlling, budgeting and financial planning.
