Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will join the GLP team at BAT UK, supporting the business with financial insight, transfer‑price calculations and control environment management. This fixed‑term position (until 1 July 2028) is based in Southampton and works closely with demand and supply teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Control Navigator process, ensuring timely completion across the business.
• Partner with demand and supply teams to manage leaf supply and oversee the transfer‑price process.
• Execute month‑end and quarterly close activities, guaranteeing completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Maintain and test SOX controls, liaising with internal audit and external auditors.
• Prepare GLP group and statutory reports, supporting budgeting and financial decision‑making.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to influence commercial decisions and investment proposals.
• Drive continuous improvement and embed financial awareness across the business.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial reporting, statutory reporting and month‑end close.
• Strong understanding of SOX compliance and control testing.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including demand, supply, tax and treasury.
• Analytical mindset with the capacity to interpret variances and challenge assumptions.
• Excellent communication skills to present financial implications to senior stakeholders.
