Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will support the Axis Responsive Maintenance Business Unit by providing financial tools, analysis and insight to commercial and operational leaders. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will act as a trusted advisor, helping the team make informed decisions that maximise value and minimise risk.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated finance partner for commercial and operational leaders, delivering day‑to‑day financial support.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and provide insightful analysis to aid budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision‑making.
• Develop business cases to support investment and growth opportunities across the division.
• Report financial performance to Axis Group finance senior leadership and support BU operators with end‑to‑end contract financial management.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with Group FP&A standards and timely delivery.
• Deliver clear financial analysis, including customer and job profitability, to support regional strategic and operational decisions.
• Collaborate with finance team members to meet internal and external reporting requirements and improve financial performance.
• Ensure adherence to Group accounting policies, particularly revenue and cost recognition.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and manage billing and cash collection proactively.
