Finance Business Partner

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established manufacturing business in St Albans to find a Finance Business Partner. The role combines technical finance responsibilities with strategic business partnering, supporting senior leaders and operational teams to drive commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders and budget holders, providing financial challenge, insight and support to improve commercial performance.
• Lead the preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and delivering value‑adding analysis.
• Produce high‑quality financial and non‑financial analysis with clear commentary on business and departmental performance.
• Take an active part in budgeting, forecasting and re‑forecasting cycles in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
• Own cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital management, offering recommendations to support business performance.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity through reconciliations, controls and reviews.
• Manage stock valuation and related accounting processes.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant, or finalist, with strong management accounting expertise.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis.
• Excellent analytical ability and confidence working with stakeholders across the business.
• Ability to translate financial data into meaningful commercial insight.
• Experience of stock accounting is highly advantageous.
