Finance Business Partnering Manager

About the role

Babcock is hiring a Finance Business Partnering Manager for its Nuclear Finance FP&A team at Devonport Royal Dockyard, near Plymouth, Devon. The team provides financial planning, analysis, reporting and governance across the Nuclear sector, supporting effective financial control and decision-making in line with contractual, business and regulatory requirements. The role is full time, permanent and 35 hours per week, with hybrid working of about 2 to 3 days on site each week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning across the Nuclear sector
• Provide financial insight, challenge and decision support to senior business leaders and stakeholders
• Manage financial reporting for the Corporate Services contract within Naval Nuclear
• Drive continuous improvement of reporting, governance, controls and management information
• Lead and develop a team of finance professionals

Required profile

• Professional qualification as an accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS or equivalent)
• Sole UK National able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance
• Experience leading annual planning cycles, rolling forecasts, scenario modelling and performance reviews

Required skills

• Financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting and performance management in a complex organisation
• Influencing senior stakeholders through commercial insight and strategic financial advice
• People leadership, stakeholder management and change management
• Understanding of financial governance, controls and reporting, with experience improving finance processes and systems
