Finance Director – Industrial & Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Director to lead the financial function of an industrial and manufacturing company located in Scotland's central belt. You will provide strategic financial guidance, ensure robust financial processes and help the business achieve its growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior stakeholders.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights.
• Manage cash flow and financial risk effectively.
• Support decision‑making through data‑driven financial analysis.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting and finance within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
• Proven leadership skills to manage and inspire a finance team.
• Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Recognised accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
