Finance Director

About the role

We are supporting a leading Bristol‑based organisation in hiring a Finance Director to join the Executive Team. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will shape strategy, influence decision‑making and ensure long‑term financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to organisational strategy as an Executive Team member, leading long‑term financial and resource planning.
• Provide strategic advice and insight to senior leadership and the Board, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
• Lead all aspects of financial strategy and management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, audit and compliance.
• Oversee governance, risk management and regulatory compliance, acting as Company Secretary and supporting Board processes.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, values‑led culture and strong internal and external relationships.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven senior financial leadership experience.
• Experience operating at Executive or Board level.
• Strong track record in strategic planning and financial management.
• Experience leading change and transformation programmes.
• Strong governance, risk and compliance expertise.
