Finance Director – Lead Financial Strategy

About the role

Join a respected financial services organisation in Taunton as Finance Director and own the company’s financial strategy. You will work directly with the CEO and Board, influencing key decisions and driving growth in a fast‑moving, people‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, performance, risk management and acquisitions.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, long‑term financial planning and cash‑flow management.
• Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and statutory compliance.
• Maintain robust financial controls, policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Commercially minded finance professional with senior experience.
• Proven success in a small‑to‑medium sized organisation, close to decision‑making.
• Ability to wear multiple hats and make a tangible impact on business performance.
• Trusted partner to senior leadership, comfortable influencing strategy.
