Finance Director – Strategic Leadership Role

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Director to become the lead financial voice to the Board of a fast‑growing professional services firm. The role will drive strategic financial planning, support an active M&A pipeline and ensure robust regulatory compliance while shaping a technology‑led finance operation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership, budgeting, forecasting and profitability improvement.
• Support the acquisition pipeline through due diligence, integration and financial modelling.
• Lead finance transformation, systems improvement and reporting excellence.
• Oversee financial controls, tax, audit and cash‑flow management.
• Partner with senior leadership on growth, risk and operational strategy.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with senior finance leadership experience at FD/CFO level.
• Proven experience in a professional services or similar environment.
• Comfortable operating at Board level with a commercial, growth‑oriented mindset.
• Eligible to be approved as COFA or meet SRA requirements.
