Finance Manager – Hospitality SME

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join a fast‑growing hospitality SME based in Bristol. You will lead the finance function, provide insight to senior leadership and support the business through robust financial management while enjoying a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports for the Board.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Finance Department.
• Monitor, review and reconcile the Balance Sheet with supporting documentation.
• Manage bank reconciliations and supervise accounts payable and receivable.
• Deliver financial analysis and insights to support strategic decisions.
• Lead bi‑annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes.
• Drive financial discipline, ensuring compliance and effective management.
• Identify and implement process improvements using finance software.
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors during year‑end audit.
• Support and train the Accounts Assistant for role progression.

Required profile

• Currently producing end‑to‑end management account packs.
• Demonstrated flexibility and agility in a dynamic, growing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external partners.
• Highly organised, able to work effectively within a small team and under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Intermediate‑level skills in Excel.
