Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Manager to lead the finance function of a values‑driven organisation. Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for financial compliance, reporting and strategic planning while working part‑time on a hybrid basis.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and quality‑assure monthly management accounts with strategic commentary for the COO and CEO.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, re‑forecasting cycles and develop financial models for scenario planning.
• Prepare Board, Audit and Risk Committee papers and maintain financial policies and procedures.
• Line‑manage the Financial Controller and oversee external bookkeeping support.
• Design and maintain robust financial controls, reconciliations and tax compliance (VAT, payroll, corporation tax).
• Drive the effective use of Xero to improve reporting efficiency and data quality.
• Prepare annual statutory accounts for the Annual Report.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance leadership, preferably within a mid‑size organisation.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for senior stakeholder partnership and Board reporting.
• Alignment with the organisation’s core values of solidarity, self‑responsibility, equity and honesty.
