Finance Manager – Property Industry (SME)

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the day‑to‑day financial operations for a property‑focused business. You will ensure accurate reporting, maintain compliance, and provide the financial insight needed for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee weekly subcontractor timesheets, leave records and expense reconciliations.
• Prepare and run weekly subcontractor payment runs, applying verification procedures.
• Compile monthly CIS returns, statements of pay and invoices using the business financial reporting system.
• Maintain credit control processes: capture supplier invoices, run monthly creditor payments, reconcile statements and manage invoice queries.
• Assist procurement by checking invoice prices against supplier price lists and rebate schemes.
• Manage business mobile phone account, credit‑card, cash‑book and petty‑cash transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements, prepare month‑end customer invoices and employee payroll adjustments.
• Support asset renewal processes and generate SAGE project costing reports.

Required profile

• Strong experience in financial management within the property sector.
• Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• SAGE accounting software.
• Proficiency with financial reporting systems.
