Finance Manager – South Oxfordshire

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Finance Manager to join a South Oxfordshire team. The role involves preparing monthly management accounts, VAT returns and journals while ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts department.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the Accounts function and provide line‑management for the team.
• Produce monthly internal accounts and manage month‑end journals, reports and reconciliations.
• Review payroll each month and process payments.
• Supply information to external accountants for quarterly VAT returns and management accounts.
• Oversee credit control and manage ad‑hoc projects for the Senior Leadership Team.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Comfortable reviewing financial data and making decisions.
• Excellent communication and social skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload and solve problems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
