Finance & Operations Manager (4 days per week)

About the role

Our partner is seeking a dynamic Finance & Operations Manager on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, working four days a week remotely from the UK. The role sits on the management team and will lead financial accounting, management accounting, budgeting and strategic finance and operations projects as the organisation expands its programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a strong control environment and ensure accounting records are complete and accurate.
• Prepare annual statutory accounts in line with SORP 2015 and manage the external audit process.
• Coordinate month‑end processes, produce monthly management accounts, cash‑flow forecasts and adapt reporting formats for senior management and the Board.
• Develop the annual organisational budget, conduct mid‑year re‑forecasts and improve budget templates for donor transparency.
• Collaborate with Programme Finance Lead to reconcile intercompany accounts and support country offices with financial reporting and compliance.
• Review bi‑weekly UK payment runs and monthly country fund requests, ensuring cash‑flow planning and asset register maintenance.
• Support procurement activities in line with Vision Action’s policy and assist preparation for quarterly Board meetings.
• Review and develop finance policies, conduct staff training and perform internal audits of country offices where required.

What we offer

• Salary of £40,000 per annum for a four‑day work week.
