Finance Operations Manager

About the role

Based in Covent Garden, London, the Finance Operations Manager leads Go City's core finance functions – accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and payroll. You will ensure processes are accurate and timely, close the books each month, and provide the VP of Financial Control with clear cash, debtor and creditor visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Line‑manage a team of three specialists, setting priorities across AP, AR, treasury and payroll and supporting their development.
• Act as escalation point for payment, balance and compliance issues, reviewing performance data and KPIs.
• Oversee treasury and payroll operations, including cash‑flow maintenance, bank reconciliations and multi‑region payroll runs.
• Drive month‑end close activities, reporting cash, debtor and creditor positions to senior finance leadership.
• Support finance system (Dynamics Business Central) enhancements and partner with product teams on change requests.
• Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology or AI to reduce manual work.

Required profile

• Solid, hands‑on experience across financial operations (AP, AR, treasury, payroll).
• Strong attention to detail and a process‑oriented mindset.
• Comfortable working with finance systems and building robust controls.
• Proven people‑management skills with a passion for coaching.
• Confident stakeholder management across commercial, product and senior finance teams.
• Bonus: experience in an international organisation.
