Finance Paralegal

About the role

Our client, a leading London‑based law firm, is looking for a Finance Paralegal to support its market‑leading Banking & Finance practice. You will work on complex domestic and international transactions, gaining exposure to legal project management, client onboarding and business development within a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist fee earners on a variety of finance transactions and matters.
• Prepare and collate conditions precedent documentation.
• Draft ancillary corporate documents such as board minutes and shareholder resolutions.
• Produce revised drafts of finance documents using agreed precedents.
• Conduct company searches, prepare review summaries, and coordinate signing and completion processes.
• Prepare completion checklists, transaction management documents, and post‑completion bundles.
• Liaise with overseas lawyers and other transaction parties.
• Support client onboarding, compliance procedures, billing, and matter management.
• Contribute to business development initiatives, pitches and marketing materials.
• Provide general administrative and legal support across the Finance practice.

Required profile

• Degree educated with strong academic credentials; LPC, SQE or equivalent legal training preferred.
• Previous paralegal experience in Banking & Finance or a similar transactional area.
• Demonstrable interest in finance and lending transactions.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Commercial awareness and professional judgement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
