Finance Processes Assistant

About the role

Join our Finance Team to support the safe and controlled operation of end‑to‑end reporting processes that feed into actuarial valuation, financial reporting, and projections for SJP plc and its subsidiaries. This entry‑level position offers a hybrid work environment and a 7‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Follow processes and procedures that underpin the production of key financial and actuarial deliverables.
• Support ongoing maintenance, development, and documentation of actuarial systems used by the Finance Team.
• Enable proper operation of checks over data and calculations for financial and actuarial outputs.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues to plan and track Finance Processes team responsibilities, providing proactive updates on progress.

Required profile

• Proactive interest in numerical analysis and problem solving.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Willingness to learn bespoke in‑house systems.
• Self‑motivated, inquisitive and comfortable challenging processes when necessary.
• No requirement to be studying for actuarial or accounting qualifications.
