Finance Reporting Accountant

About the role

This 12‑month contract position supports the Finance & Control – Financial Reporting & Expenses team of a leading global financial institution. Working hybrid (three days in the office, two days remote), you will help ensure the integrity of the general ledger, prepare statutory financial statements and meet reporting deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Own elements of the monthly and quarterly close process, including accruals, pre‑payments, inter‑company recharges, payroll and journal entries.
• Process and review expense postings, departmental allocations and recharge activity.
• Post and control general‑ledger entries, including manual journals and adjustments.
• Perform and review balance‑sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate classification of financial data.
• Provide analysis and substantiation of account balances, including self‑attestation for key accounts.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed‑asset registers, ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
• Support the preparation of IFRS financial statements, including disclosures and notes.
• Contribute to monthly management reporting with expense, headcount and asset analysis.
• Prepare elements of the Head Office reporting package.

Required profile

• Experience in financial reporting and month‑end close within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards.
• Ability to work flexibly outside standard office hours when required.
• Comfortable with hybrid working arrangements.
