Finance Solution Architect – Workday (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Solution Architect to support a major Workday transformation programme on the South Coast. This six‑month contract role is hybrid, with one day per week onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of finance solution architecture within a Workday environment.
• Partner with finance, technology and business stakeholders to define future‑state processes and capabilities.
• Translate business requirements into robust, scalable solution designs.
• Provide expert guidance on Workday Financial Management, reporting, integrations and data architecture.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.
• Support implementation partners and internal delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify risks, dependencies and optimisation opportunities across finance systems and processes.
• Drive best practices across finance transformation and ERP architecture.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect within finance transformation programmes.
• Strong experience delivering one or more Workday implementations, ideally including Workday Financial Management.
• Deep understanding of finance processes, operating models and finance systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with senior business and technical stakeholders.
