Finance Systems Manager – Commercial Data & Systems Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Systems Manager to own and evolve the reporting, data and finance systems for a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed accountancy and advisory firm. Reporting to the COO and working closely with the CFO and Head of Sales, you will ensure that the firm’s financial information is accurate, real‑time and supports commercial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve finance systems and reporting across Microsoft Dynamics 365, IRIS, Xero and Power BI.
• Build and maintain integrations between systems using APIs, middleware, native connectors or vendor‑supported solutions.
• Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models that deliver commercial and financial insight.
• Troubleshoot reporting, reconciliation and data‑quality issues, implementing permanent solutions.
• Collaborate with software vendors to enhance functionality and challenge proposed solutions.
• Support group reporting, budgeting, forecasting and KPI development for senior leadership.
• Drive business‑process improvements through automation and smarter use of existing systems.
• Assist with systems integration and reporting for future acquisitions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an accountancy practice, legal firm, consulting business or similar professional‑services environment.
• Hands‑on experience managing finance systems and delivering commercial reporting.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate operational data into financial insight.
