Financial Accountant – 2 Year Fixed Term Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant on a two‑year fixed‑term contract to support financial management for a well‑established company in County Fermanagh. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will ensure accurate financial data and contribute to both routine operations and strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly divisional management accounts within strict deadlines.
• Reconcile and review balance‑sheet control accounts.
• Perform variance and trend analyses to identify risks and opportunities.
• Oversee statutory returns such as VAT, Intrastat and VIES, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Support the annual audit, liaise with external auditors and prepare statutory financial statements.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).
• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within manufacturing.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (advantageous).
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
