Financial Accountant EMEA

About the role

The Financial Accountant (EMEA) will support month‑end close, financial reporting and statutory compliance for seven entities across the EMEA region. Working in a hybrid model from Andover, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly accounting activities across seven EMEA entities.
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and process monthly depreciation.
• Complete monthly and quarterly balance‑sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving variances.
• Support timely and accurate monthly reporting in line with group deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements, including VAT returns and Intrastat reporting.
• Assist with interim and year‑end audits, liaising with external auditors and providing required documentation.
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure audit‑ready records.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes.
• Support ad‑hoc projects and wider finance initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Experience in a financial accounting, assistant accountant or finance analyst role.
• Strong understanding of month‑end processes, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Knowledge of financial controls and statutory compliance requirements.
• Ability to work to deadlines and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
