Financial Accountant - French Speaking

About the role

The Financial Accountant – French Speaking will join our International Finance team, working from one of our UK offices (London, Reading or Manchester). Reporting to the Head of International Finance, you will own the day‑to‑day accounting for our Monaco entity and provide Group‑level support for operations in Spain, the Netherlands and Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting for the Monaco entity, including journal entries, general ledger activity and month‑end close.
• Operate the local Monaco ERP, upload results to the Global ERP and support broader ERP mapping and consolidation projects.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations, resolve reconciling items and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and IFRS reporting requirements.
• Deliver weekly trading data to shareholders and collaborate with Monaco, Group Finance, Commercial Finance and the Reporting Hub to resolve issues.
• Support internal and external audits, monitor accounting and regulatory changes, and contribute to ad‑hoc projects and process improvements.

Required profile

• Fluent French with strong written and spoken English.
• Professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and UK/EU accounting standards.
• Experience in month‑end close, balance‑sheet reconciliations and internal control frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and build effective relationships across multiple geographies.
