About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join a medium‑sized FMCG organisation in Surrey. The role involves preparing accurate financial statements, managing month‑end and year‑end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in line with accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes to deliver timely reports.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by analysing account information.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and maintain financial controls to mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes.
• Support audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification in accounting or finance.
• Proven expertise in financial reporting and compliance.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience in the FMCG sector is advantageous.
