Financial Accountant – Leeds (Hybrid)

About the role

Our client is seeking a motivated Financial Accountant to join a dynamic team in Leeds. The role is hybrid, offering a blend of office collaboration and remote work. You will be responsible for ensuring robust financial processes, accurate statutory reporting, and effective tax compliance across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve financial processes, systems and controls.
• Prepare and file statutory accounts and manage consolidation of holding companies and investment vehicles.
• Produce budgets, monthly management reports and technical accounting papers.
• Handle corporate, VAT, PAYE, SDLT tax filings accurately and on time.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, preparing for audits.
• Implement a new accounting software system.
• Support preparation of information for debt investors, banks and board meetings.
• Assist with regulatory filings to the Regulator of Social Housing and Homes England.

Required profile

• Qualified with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in a group reporting function, either in audit or industry.
• Good understanding of corporate tax, VAT, PAYE and SDLT.
• Experience in property or real‑estate finance is advantageous.
