Financial Accountant – Spanish Speaking (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Spanish‑speaking Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. The role will be based in Hammersmith with a hybrid working model and will support the record‑to‑report (R2R) function for several European market entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end record‑to‑report cycle for assigned markets, ensuring accurate month‑end close.
• Prepare and submit indirect tax reporting, including VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales List.
• Lead the preparation of local statutory accounts and coordinate with outsourced service providers.
• Perform routine ledger reconciliations, balance‑sheet reviews and ensure compliance with IFRS and SOX controls.
• Support the Group Finance team during the annual and monthly accounting cycles.
• Oversee third‑party accounting providers and drive continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Fluent in Spanish.
• Proven experience managing third‑party accounting providers.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and practical application.
• Ability to work hands‑on while delegating and supervising junior staff.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) controls.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
