Financial Accountant (Temporary)

About the role

This temporary position offers a Financial Accountant the chance to apply accounting expertise within a medium‑sized industrial/manufacturing organisation. You will support accurate financial reporting, compliance and strategic decision‑making while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate financial data for strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings as required.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and liaising with auditors.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances and actionable insights.
• Assist in implementing financial systems and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold internal controls.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
• Experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
