Financial Adviser – Inherited £45m Client Portfolio

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Independent Financial Adviser to join a well-established IFA practice in Godalming. You will take over a £45 million client portfolio from a retiring Managing Director, with the support of a multi-branch award-winning firm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an existing client base worth approximately £45 million in assets under management.
• Provide independent, unrestricted financial advice across investments, pensions and protection.
• Deliver advice both from the office and in the field, with the possibility of 1‑2 days remote work once settled.
• Collaborate closely with the MD during the transition period and gradually assume full responsibility for the portfolio.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and uphold the firm’s high service standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Level 4 adviser or holder of Chartered Advisor Status (CAS).
• Experience in an independent advisory role is preferred, though less-experienced candidates with CAS are considered.
• Strong client‑relationship skills and a proactive approach to portfolio development.
