Financial Analyst – Hybrid (Watford)

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an early‑career finance professional to join a sector‑leading business in Watford. You will work within a commercial finance team, gaining exposure to a broad range of financial activities while developing a well‑rounded skill set. The hybrid working model (2–3 days in the office) offers flexibility alongside close collaboration with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support the month‑end close process, including P&L analysis and reporting.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles, preparing accurate financial plans.
• Produce regular financial reports and performance analysis for senior leadership.
• Partner with non‑finance teams to provide insight, challenge assumptions, and drive data‑based decisions.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through detailed data analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes and financial systems.

Required profile

• Early‑career finance professional with a proactive, inquisitive mindset.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline (or equivalent).
• Actively pursuing a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and confidence to engage with stakeholders.
• Enjoys working with data and delivering actionable insights.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
