Financial Controller – Credit Control Specialist

About the role

This is a trusted position at the heart of our business, responsible for safeguarding cash flow and customer relationships through rigorous credit control. You will own the debtor ledger from set‑up to settlement, ensuring credit limits and payment terms are respected.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the full debtor ledger end‑to‑end.
• Chase outstanding payments in line with company policy.
• Monitor aged debt, identify risks early and take proactive action.
• Place accounts on stop or involve legal support when necessary.
• Review and manage credit limits, issue statements and reminders.
• Support bookkeeping tasks such as bank reconciliations and invoice processing.
• Assist purchase ledger during peak periods and handle finance administration.
• Respond to customer queries via phone and email, liaise with internal teams to resolve issues, and support order processing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proactive, confident and able to take ownership of decisions.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Organised with the capacity to manage workload effectively.
