Financial Controller – Fleet, South East England

About the role

The Financial Controller will join a growing international organisation based in Fleet, reporting to the Head of Finance. The role is newly created, offering ownership of financial control and technical accounting across several UK entities while shaping the future structure of the finance team. Initially office‑based, the position will evolve to a hybrid model with around one day per week remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial control, month‑end reporting and technical accounting for multiple UK entities.
• Manage and develop the existing finance team, ensuring robust processes and controls.
• Support the transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and improve finance systems.
• Improve processes, controls and reporting efficiency across the finance function.
• Report to the Head of Finance and collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategy.

Required profile

• Strong financial control and technical accounting experience.
• Proven experience managing and developing a finance team.
• Excellent knowledge of month‑end, balance‑sheet preparation and UK accounting standards.
